Driveway Projects Across Hampshire

Every driveway we install is unique. Different property, different soil, different access, different brief — and as a family-run business that’s been working in Hampshire since 1996, we’ve seen pretty much every combination there is. The portfolio below shows a small selection of the driveway projects our family team has completed across Fareham, Winchester, Southampton, Portsmouth and the wider Hampshire area in recent years.

What unites every project on this page is the same family commitment to proper preparation, properly specified materials and proper finishing details. The bit you see in the photos — the surface — is only ever as good as the bit you don’t see beneath it.

Block Paving Driveways

Block paving remains the most popular driveway choice across Hampshire, and for good reason. Hard-wearing, infinitely customisable, individual blocks can be lifted and replaced if needed. Our family team installs block paving in tegular, classic rectangular, and contemporary linear formats, with a huge palette of colours and textures from Marshalls, Brett, Tobermore and other quality manufacturers.

Resin-Bound Driveways

Resin-bound driveways are the modern, low-maintenance choice that’s become increasingly popular across Hampshire. The seamless finish, dozens of natural-stone colour blends, and the fact that resin-bound surfaces are SUDS-compliant straight out of the box (no planning permission needed) makes them ideal for newer Hampshire properties and contemporary frontages.

The family team uses UV-stable aliphatic resin and properly graded, kiln-dried natural aggregates — the same specifications British Standards recommend. Cheap resin installations using polyurethane (rather than aliphatic) yellow and break down within 2-3 years. We don’t install those.

Tarmac & Combination Driveways

Tarmac with block paving borders is our family team’s most popular recommendation for larger Hampshire driveways and shared accesses. The economics are unbeatable on bigger areas, the smooth finish wears extremely well, and the block-paved border lifts what would otherwise be a plain finish into something properly considered.

Hot-laid red and black tarmac, properly specified to the right macadam type for residential use, finished by hand. We use independent batching plants where we can — the quality is more consistent than the bulk delivery options.

Patios, Walls & Hard Landscaping

Plenty of our projects extend beyond just the driveway. Front garden walls, side returns, patio extensions, garden paths, dwarf retaining walls, decorative borders — all hand-built by the same family team that installs the driveway. Doing it as one project, with one team, gets you a tighter result than coordinating multiple contractors.

Materials we work with

We’re an independent family business, not tied to any particular supplier. That means we recommend whichever material is genuinely right for your driveway rather than whichever one we get the best margin on. Common manufacturers we install from include Marshalls, Brett Landscaping, Tobermore, Stonemarket and Bradstone for block paving, plus various resin and natural stone suppliers.

All work is carried out in line with the relevant BS 7533 paving standards for permeable and impermeable surface design.
